In Zoetermeer, HBM Dakbedekkingen of Barendrecht renovated the roofs of two connected buildings, those of gewoonfietsen.nl and a fitness club. The roofing was in very poor condition and needed to be completely replaced or overlayed.
Nick van Loenen, Director of HBM: “At the request of Mrs Konijn, the owner of the building, a circular concept was chosen for the roof renovation. Her wish was to install a roof system that was manufactured as much as possible from recycled raw materials and that could also be recycled or reused in the future.”
After consulting with IKO, the decision was made to install insulation and a new waterproofing layer on top of the existing roof. The new layers consist exclusively of circular products:

- IKO powergum 4 AW/F Atelia (white cap sheet)
